Frequently asked questions
Q. When was Keys to the City established?
Keys to the City is an independent national docu-series produced by My Story Productions. We are based in Atlanta, GA and commenced filmming June 2025. We film authentic stories of real estate professionals across the country and present them at our April premiere before submission to film festivals, streaming platforms, and network partners.
Q. How long is filming?
Filming typically takes 1–3 hours, depending on the depth of your story, the locations involved, and any additional scenes we capture in your city.
Q. Do I keep the content?
Yes. Featured realtors receive a curated set of social media clips and a personal highlight reel they can use for branding, marketing, and storytelling.
Q. Is a contribution required?
A contribution is not required, but it is appreciated.
It helps support nationwide travel, cinematography, and the editing team.
Realtors who contribute are prioritized for scheduling and additional deliverables, but the series still selects participants based on story fit — not contribution alone.
Q. Can I refer other realtors?
Absolutely.
If you know another agent whose story deserves to be told, you can refer them using the form. Our team considers all recommendations during the selection phase.
Q. How do you determine filming locations?
Locations are chosen based on what you have access to in your city (listings, client meetings, neighborhoods), or we provide recommended cinematic locations that help tell your story visually.
Every shoot is customized to your market and your brand. We have filmed across New York, LA, Vegas, Hawaii, Atlanta, Nashville, Virgina, Orlando and more...
Q. Will I be included in the premiere in April?
Yes — everyone chosen to be filmed will appear in the April premiere.
Additionally, if the show is picked up by a network or streaming platform, you will be presented as an on-screen candidate within the series.
Depending on the network’s requirements, new contracts, appearance agreements, and potential residual structures will be discussed at that time.
